Kopi Giling Basah or more commonly referred to as “Wet-Hulled”, is the cornerstone of North Sumatran Arabica.
Its origins are rooted in the region’s climatic conditions: as the main harvest coincides with the rainy season, farmers had to hull the coffee while it was still high in moisture, often with a slight coating of mucilage, to expedite the drying process.
Lo and behold, this process has resulted in a distinct taste profile that enhances the body and delivers herbal notes with an earthy aftertaste (the good kind!).
Our mission is to bring the finest wet-hulled coffee from the rich, historic lands of Sumatra to the world!

Through our expansive, generational network of suppliers and farmers, as well as our plantations in Isaq (Aceh) and Sigalingging (North Sumatra), we source coffee that preserves the traditional 'cup' profile of Northern Sumatra Arabica. Sometimes at odds with 'visual' exporters, we remain steadfast in staying true to our roots.
Our Arabica Gayo is celebrated for its complex flavour profile, featuring notes of dark chocolate, spices and a hint of fruity acidity. Its full-bodied and smooth texture provides a delightful experience with every sip.
Our Lintong delivers a delightful blend of rich chocolate notes, subtle spicy undertones and a balanced acidity. Lintong has a captivating earthy aroma and a clean satisfying aftertaste.
